Singapore's productivity push a national effort: PM LEE

It's really great that our government is pushing towards the horizon for long term benefits of SMEs in Singapore. But not the case in PIC. Most of the newly setup companies offering web development services to SMEare not even within this industry. Their aim to only just profit the free money.

Do these management people do not even know or assess how the web technologies can help improve their clients' productivity.

Most of them just know how to say website + mobile app = $15000 and if you have never claimed PIC before, the government give you extra $9000. What a laugh. Some even exaggerate as if they are selling aladdin genie lamps. Snakeoil style. Websites and mobile apps can fly!

I've heard of allegations that some sole-propietors like property agents even ask if there's extra cashback. What's cashback? The whole web development is priced at $15000 on paper and after 3 months, the PIC consultants will pay you back some cash in the form of commission, goodwill money or whatever.

All these crap are happening at the expense of our citizens. There's rumors going around that since so many are claiming and doing the same 'scam' things, the authorities will not prosecute that large numbers. Maybe they will be smarter next time. As for now, faster take the money and run.

Duh again!
