Does the word Job Loyalty Exists anymore?

Guilty i was before when faced with this question but that was a decade ago. Money makes the world goes round and i was an inexperience staff who sticks blindly by it. Forward today i realized there is more than just monetary gains but read the fine lines in between. Money is not everything but we each have our own sums to keep afloat.

Drifting became striding for me, and not everyone gets a Rolex after 10 years of service and loyalty. Society has become more competitive and the term budget comes into our everyday living. Companies are cutting down budget on everything from A to Z, and even when it seems absurdly unreasonable. A popular excuse for these drastic budget cut is..

Times are hard and we do not want to retrench anyone.

If the company treats us well along these years, then certainly we will stick with them and crack our heads for better yield. However if the company is ruled like a monarchy, what more can be said unless you really need their loose change.

Does your company follow its set of core values? Or does it have one in the first place.
